So this is blogging.....

I can hardly believe it, it was only a week ago I told someone how much I dispised Blogs and would never do one. Then this animated young professor tells me how cool bogging is and that I should create an account and start writing. She assured me it would be tons of fun and would be very entertaining. In reality I am stretching the truth a bit, she in fact coerced me into participating in this social activity by holding a portion of my grade (and likely my entire acedmic career) hostage. Apparently this is how all the youngsters out there submit their homework nowadays. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it before to long and I was in fact looking for a way to be more hip and cool since I appear to be the old man in my class. In fact I'm in class with the daughter of one of my good friends. I may come across as a bit sensitive about my age, but really I'm not, it's just that I recently realized how old I really am, and going back to school for the first time in 20 years. I certainly felt the effects of the generation gap this past Wendsday as I left my English class and walked out to my Crown Victoria, probably the epitomy of an old mans car. I was passed on all sides by young students on bikes and skateboards, and hair without any grey in it. Then the Crown Vic came into site, sitting there amongst the cool, sporty, and efficient cars most respectable students drive and I knew it was time for change. I promptly went to a local car lot and purchased a small sporty and more efficient car to attend school with. So perhaps learning to be more cool, hip, or "with it" wont be so bad. And just maybe Blogging wont be so bad, after all if it's good enough for the young, hip, English Professor that has hung my entire future upon it then it's probably OK for me. If nothing else, all this change has landed me a sporty little Z24 to terrorize the streets with.
