Introduction

Greetings, My name is Scott, well actually it's Robert but there are thirteen Roberts in my imeadiate family so I use "Scott". I am returning to school after 20 years and am what can be concidered a non-traditional student. Not only am I nearly 40 years old with 5 children from the age of six to sixteen, my wife is also a full time student. The challenge of providing for a large family and going to school has really caused me to think about my situation. After vacillating about a topic for my blogging asignment I have choosen to focus on my perceptions as a non-traditional student. I concidered writing about architetual design and decided against doing so because that is what I do all day every day for a living and felt focusing on this new adventure in education and its impact on my lifestyle would be more interesting.

I have done many things to support myself throughout my life, that is why I profess to be a Jack of all Trades, and it may come up in my writing as a point of contrast with my current experiance. I have never really settled into the industry I am most pssionate about (Architecture) until about 3 years ago. It is my desire to obtain the education required for me to move forward in my career. One thing is for certain, with all the adventures I've persued going back to school has been the most daunting. I hope to share my perspective throughout the course of this blog.
